Market research in Panama

Observe the real experience before deciding how to change it.

We design research and mystery shopping programs to answer business questions: objectives, method, sample, scenarios, instruments, quality control, analysis and action plans.

Where it helps

When the organization needs to separate anecdotes from patterns.

Not every problem needs a survey and not every standard is validated through mystery shopping. We choose observation, interviews, surveys, data review or a combination according to the question, population, decision and required confidence.

01

Retail, restaurants and hotels

Journey, service, availability, presentation, consultative selling and resolution assessed through comparable scenarios.

02

Clinics and professional services

Access, information, reception, timing and follow-up reviewed without intruding into clinical spaces or sensitive data.

03

Multi-location operations

Common sample, schedule and criteria to distinguish variation between locations, moments, channels and request types.

04

New offers or markets

Exploration of needs, alternatives, language, barriers, perception and response before scaling an investment.

Service scope

From the right question to a change that can be verified.

Scope distinguishes research, operational auditing and performance evaluation. Method, data, limitations and result uses are agreed before evidence collection.

01

Research design

Decision, objectives, hypotheses, population, method, sample, variables, criteria, schedule, limitations and analysis plan.

02

Qualitative research

Interviews, observation, sessions and thematic analysis to understand language, motivations, barriers and contexts.

03

Quantitative research

Surveys, instruments, sample, programming, quality control and descriptive analysis with clear inference boundaries.

04

Mystery shopping

Scenarios, profiles, visits, channels, rubrics, evidence and calibration to observe execution against defined standards.

05

Brand, market and competition

Existing sources, category signals, alternatives, positioning, perception and opportunities requiring validation.

06

Decision and tracking

Executive reporting, segment or branch analysis, priorities, owners, training, new measurement and learning.

How we work

Good measurement includes recognizing what the data does not prove.

We reference ICC/ESOMAR, AAPOR and professional mystery shopping standards along with applicable data-protection obligations. Reporting keeps observation, interpretation, limitation and recommendation separate.

  • The question and decision come before the instrument.
  • Mystery shopping assesses processes and standards; it does not create traps to punish people.
  • Scenarios, rubrics and evaluators are piloted and calibrated before fieldwork.
  • The sample represents defined places and moments, not “the whole market.”
  • Personal data is minimized and use is limited to the agreed purpose.
  • Uncertainty remains visible and correlation is not presented as demonstrated causation.
1

Focus

We agree the decision, audience, questions, hypotheses, standards, existing data, constraints, privacy and owners.

2

Design and pilot

We select method and sample, write instruments and scenarios, train evaluators and correct them through a pilot.

3

Collect and control

We run fieldwork with traceability, validation, proportionate evidence and review of consistency and exceptions.

4

Analyze and act

We connect patterns with decisions, facilitate priorities and owners, and agree when and how to measure again.

Combinable formats

A focused study or a periodic learning system.

The proposal separates design, recruitment, incentives, travel, visits, purchases, returns, platforms, recordings, analysis, workshops and new measurement waves.

Market diagnosis

Secondary sources, interviews and available data to narrow the question and decide which primary evidence is needed.

Mystery shopping program

Channel or branch scenarios, evaluators, rubric, validation, results and actions under agreed rules.

Voice of customer

Surveys, interviews and feedback analysis connected with segments, moments and service decisions.

Tracking and training

Interpretation workshop, action plans, coaching, management review and a new comparable measurement.

Mystery shopping: how to design a useful, responsible program

One isolated visit produces a story. A well-designed program turns comparable scenarios and responsible evidence into decisions and improvement.

Before requesting a proposal

Questions before fieldwork.

How much does market research cost in Panama?

It depends on the question, population, method, sample, territories, recruitment, incentives, visits, languages, processing and analysis. We quote after defining the decision the study must support and the precision it needs.

What does a mystery shopper assess?

Observable behaviors, conditions and outcomes within a scenario: availability, greeting, questions, information, time, process, environment or closing. It should not score vague traits or factors outside the team’s control.

Can one visit assess an entire branch?

No. One visit describes one scenario at one moment. Interpreting patterns requires a sample designed by location, channel, time, profile and expected variation, plus other sources where appropriate.

Does mystery shopping replace a satisfaction survey?

No. Mystery shopping observes execution under a designed scenario; a survey collects stated perceptions from a population. They complement one another but answer different questions.

Are evaluated people recorded?

That is never assumed. Audio, images or identifiable data require a purpose, necessity, authorization, safeguards and applicable legal review. We prefer proportionate, minimized evidence where it meets the objective.

Can results be used to discipline employees?

The program is designed to understand and improve processes. Employment decisions require rules, evidence, context and legal and HR review by the organization; one observation should not be presented as the complete truth.

Make the next decision begin with a researchable question.

Tell us the decision, audience, market, locations or channels, available data, timing and constraints. We will propose the right method and scope.
