Frequently asked questions about data recovery.
How much does data recovery cost in Panama?
It depends on the medium, failure, capacity, encryption, previous attempts, priority volume and whether a laboratory is needed. We first classify the case, then quote the procedure and its limits without promising an unknown result.
Can you guarantee that every file will be recovered?
No. No responsible diagnosis can guarantee every file before assessing the medium. Overwriting, physical damage, encryption, SSD TRIM and previous attempts may reduce or eliminate what is recoverable.
What should I do if the drive clicks or was dropped?
Power the computer off and do not energize the drive again. Do not open, freeze or strike it. Noise, impact, liquid or odor require stopping tests and assessing referral to a specialized laboratory.
Do you also recover data from SSDs and USB storage?
We can assess SSDs and USB media, but viability depends on the controller, encryption, damage and subsequent use. On SSDs, TRIM and internal block management can make deleted files unavailable quickly.
How long does recovery take?
Initial diagnosis and processing depend on capacity, stability, error volume, priority files and the engagement option. An unstable medium or laboratory referral takes longer than a straightforward logical-loss case.
How do you protect data privacy?
We agree on the responsible person, access, delivery destination and treatment of later copies. For businesses and sensitive data, medium identification, authorized persons and custody can be documented within the contracted scope.
What should I do if Windows shows the drive as RAW or unallocated?
Do not accept initialization or formatting and do not run CHKDSK on the medium. Power the computer down when continued operation is unnecessary and record the exact message. RAW or unallocated status may reflect logical damage, read problems or a more serious failure that must be classified before writing.
Do you assess servers, NAS devices and RAID arrays?
Yes. We can perform triage and document RAID level, drive order, controller, symptoms and previous changes. Recovery depends on the configuration and condition of each member; the array should not be rebuilt, replaced or initialized without a plan, and some cases require specialized escalation.
