Security cameras in Panama

Cameras that cover a purpose, not random walls.

We plan, install and configure business video surveillance around risk and operations: purpose, zones, usable images, network, storage, remote access, notices, owners and recovery testing.

Where it helps

Video surveillance designed around the event you need to observe.

A camera does not solve a risk by itself. Before choosing quantity or resolution, we define which event must be detected or reconstructed, what detail is needed, who responds and which zones should not be captured.

01

Retailers and offices

Entrances, checkouts, reception, inventory and perimeter reviewed against flow, lighting, privacy and available response.

02

Clinics and practices

Coverage of justified areas without turning care spaces or sensitive information into unnecessary exposure.

03

Properties and common areas

Entrances, circulation and critical points with a purpose, notices, owners and access and custody procedures.

04

Existing systems with faults

Diagnosis of blind spots, unusable images, incomplete recording, fragile remote access, shared passwords or missing maintenance.

Service scope

From the scene and network to exporting a recording.

Scope can cover a new system or an assessment of what exists. Camera, recorder, storage and connectivity choices follow testable requirements and the business capacity to operate and protect the system.

01

Site survey and coverage

Purposes, zones, scenes, distances, angles, light, backlight, blind spots, cable routes and physical constraints.

02

Usable-image design

Field of view, expected detail, position, height, resolution, frame rate and lighting according to the event.

03

Network and power

PoE where appropriate, capacity, segmentation, addressing, electrical protection, continuity and maintenance access.

04

Recording and retention

Calculation based on cameras, resolution, bitrate, compression, motion, hours, redundancy and a justified retention period.

05

Access and cybersecurity

Unique credentials, roles, updates, available encryption, logging, controlled remote access and minimum internet exposure.

06

Privacy and operations

Purpose, proportionality, notices, owners, requests, export, custody, deletion and incident response.

How we work

An installation is accepted through real scenes and tasks.

We do not promise to eliminate theft, accidents or incidents. Video surveillance supports prevention, observation and reconstruction when the system is properly placed, protected, maintained and paired with a response procedure.

  • Every camera retains a documented purpose and an approved coverage zone.
  • Testing covers daytime, night and relevant lighting and movement conditions.
  • Factory passwords are not reused and one shared administrator account is not used for everyone.
  • Remote access is enabled only through a protected route for authorized people.
  • Retention follows a defined need and capacity rather than an arbitrary number.
  • Handover includes inventory, diagram, configuration, export testing and owners.
1

Define

We agree risks, events, permitted areas, people involved, response, privacy, budget and acceptance criteria.

2

Design

We propose locations, scenes, equipment, network, power, storage, access and notices before drilling or cabling.

3

Install

We mount, cable, label, protect, configure accounts and adjust every scene against the approved plan.

4

Test and hand over

We verify image, recording, search, export, alerts and recovery, then deliver inventory, access and a maintenance routine.

Services that can be combined

New installation, expansion or recovery of an existing system.

The proposal separates equipment, materials, work, configuration, storage, external services and maintenance. Availability and compatibility are confirmed before committing to a brand or feature.

Survey and design

Coverage plan, scene criteria, network, storage, privacy, components and a scope-based budget.

Installation and configuration

Mounting, cabling, labeling, recorder or platform, users, application, adjustments and acceptance tests.

Audit and remediation

Review of coverage, recording, drive, network, firmware, accounts, exposure, documentation and recurring faults.

Preventive maintenance

Appropriate cleaning, focus, time, storage, updates, recorder health, test exports and inventory.

Business security cameras: a planning and installation guide

A useful system begins with the event to observe and ends when the business can search, export, protect and maintain its recordings.

Before requesting a proposal

Questions before installing cameras.

How much does security-camera installation cost in Panama?

It depends on the number and type of scenes, cable distance and materials, height, network, power, recording, retention, remote access, building work and testing. We quote after defining coverage and conditions, separating equipment, installation and recurring services.

How many cameras does my business need?

The quantity follows the events and zones that must be observed. One wide-angle camera may show context without enough detail; several badly placed cameras will not fix a dark scene or a critical point outside the frame.

How many days are recorded?

It depends on capacity, cameras, resolution, compression, frame rate, continuous or event recording and scene activity. We calculate an expectation and verify it in operation; retention should also serve a legitimate purpose.

Can I view cameras from my phone?

Yes, where the platform and scope allow it. Remote access should use individual accounts, available strong authentication, updates and a route that avoids directly exposing cameras or the recorder.

Do security cameras need internet?

Not necessarily for local recording, but internet is required for some alerts, cloud services or remote access. The local network, power and storage remain critical when the internet link fails.

Which privacy responsibilities apply in Panama?

Images may be personal data. Panama’s ANTAI states that surveillance should follow lawfulness, purpose, proportionality, data security, transparency and confidentiality under Law 81 of 2019 and its regulation. The responsible organization should define purpose, access, retention, notices and rights procedures for its circumstances; this is not legal advice.
